Todd County woman arrested on multiple charges Monday morning

A Todd County woman was arrested on multiple charges Monday morning following a non-injury collision on Guthrie Road.

Todd County Sheriff Tracy White and Sgt. Patrick Turner responded to the scene just before 10 a.m. and an arrest citation says a strong odor of alcohol was coming from 25-year old Asheli Miller of Davis Mill Road.

A breathalyzer test did not show any alcohol in her system, but police say she acted erratic and appeared to be under the influence of a substance as she repeatedly rummaged through the car and did not obey officer commands.

A search allegedly revealed an open can of beer in the floorboard, and a half-empty can in an open container of her backpack.  Marijuana, rolling papers and a grinder were also found in the vehicle, according to police.

Miller was arrested and charged with DUI, possession of an open alcohol container, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, tampering with evidence, resisting arrest and failure to maintain insurance.
