Hopkinsville Water Environment Authority recently brought home a prestigious award.
The American Water Works Association has given HWEA its 2019 Wendell R. LaDue Safety Award for Excellence, for water utilities with less than 100 employees.
It was presented at the association’s 2019 Annual Conference and Exposition in Denver, Colorado.
HWEA President/CEO, Derrick Watson said, “We are thrilled to be recognized for our safety program and superior safety record. Our staff have recently surpassed over 8 years without a lost time accident which speaks to the outstanding commitment our employees demonstrate every day toward safety. We are humbled to receive this prestigious award.”
