Victim identified in Trigg Co. I-24 semi crash

The Trigg County Sheriff’s Department has released the identity of the man injured Thursday when the semi-truck he was operating went off I-24.

Trigg County Sheriff’s Deputy Danielle Adams identifies the victim as Thomas Masters of Dalton, Georgia. As previously reported, Masters had been driving the tractor-trailer westbound near the 56 mile marker in Trigg County when the load he was hauling shifted, causing him to lose control of the semi.

It went off the road, down a hill and into some trees and a creek bed before coming to a stop. Masters was flown to a Nashville hospital for treatment of his injuries.
