Riley Fort, who won the Christian County and Kentucky Distinguished Young Woman competitions, is in Mobile, Alabama this weekend participating in the national competitions.
The evaluation process includes scholastics, interview, fitness, talent and self-expression.
Each of the 50 participants were set to compete in self-expression, fitness and talent during the preliminary stages Thursday and Friday and the field will be narrowed down to eight finalists Saturday.
For her talent presentation, Fort will perform a vocal piece titled “On My Own.”
Fort graduated from Hopkinsville High School in May and is the daughter of Beverly and Kerry Fort.
