Hoptown Hoppers coach Grayson Crawford got his 100th victory as the Hoppers downed Owensboro last night 7-3 at Independence Bank Park.
It was a 1-1 game until the sixth inning when the Hoppers scored four times and added two more in the seventh to put the game out of reach, despite a two run ninth by the River Dawgs.
WKU incoming freshman Lane Diuguid pitched eight innings, allowing one run on two hits and struck out eight. Seth Bennett went 2-4 with a double and two RBI.
The Hoppers are back in action this evening playing a doubleheader at Franklin, with first pitch at 5 pm.
