Driver of semi flown to Nashville hospital following I-24 wreck

The driver of a semi-truck was flown to a Nashville hospital following a wreck on Interstate 24 near the 56 mile marker in Trigg County Thursday.

That’s according to the Trigg County Sheriff’s Deputy Danielle Adams, who says the driver of the tractor-trailer was traveling westbound when the load he was hauling shifted, causing him to lose control of the vehicle.

The semi went off the left side of the roadway, down a hill and into a creek bed before coming to a stop. He was flown by helicopter to a Nashville hospital for treatment of undescribed injuries. The name of the victim has not yet been released.
