Cadiz woman hurt in Eagle Way single-vehicle wreck

The Christian County Sheriff’s Department investigated a wreck on Eagle Way Bypass Monday that sent a Cadiz woman to the hospital for injuries.

According to the collision report, a vehicle driven by 39-year old Misty Ray of Cadiz was traveling eastbound on Eagle Way near the 3 mile marker when the vehicle went off the right side of the roadway. The automobile went airborne for approximately 30 feet and landed on a fence and a fire hydrant.

The driver told deputies that she had recently had her brakes fixed and when she went to apply them, the foot pedal was stuck.

Ray was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for pain in her back and hips.
