Cincinnati Reds 2018 All-Star second baseman Scooter Gennett went 2-for-4 with a double in his first rehab game with Triple-A Louisville in a 3-1 loss at Indianapolis. Gennett, who has been out all season with a right groin tear, will probably be activated Friday when the Reds return home if he has no setbacks.
Left-hander Alex Wood is penciled in for a Thursday start for Louisville against Toledo to begin his rehab assignment. He has not pitched this season because of lower back spasms.
