Caldwell County Fiscal Court has been granted $329,000 in discretionary funding to use for critical pavement and road repairs.
According to a news release from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, a Department of Rural and Municipal Aid official announced $329,000 in discretionary funds for vital resurfacing work on Princeton Olney Road. Resurfacing repairs address existing surface cracks, potholes, raveling, and base failures.
Caldwell County Judge-Executive Larry Curling identified this road as being among the most critical in the county. The road connects two state roads and has seven spur roads. It provides direct access to a business and, a church, and it is utilized as a school bus route.
Representative Lynn Bechler says, “While I am always pleased when we make investments in maintaining our roads, I am particularly happy to see this road receive the attention it needs.”
Caldwell County Fiscal Court is responsible for administering the work, and KYTC will reimburse the county for the projects.
