The operator of a moped was flown to an Evansville hospital following an accident early Monday morning in Madisonville.
It happened about 12:20 a.m. on North Main Street, with Madisonville Police saying 21-year old Lauren Rich was northbound and attempted to turn her SUV left onto West Noel Avenue.
She collided with a southbound moped operated by 18-year old Nicholas Baize of Madisonville.
Baize was taken by ambulance to Baptist Health Hospital and was flown from there to St. Mary’s Hospital in Evansville.
Rich and her passenger were not injured.
