A Hopkinsville man was arrested at a South Main Street location Sunday night for unlawful imprisonment.
Hopkinsville police were called to a disturbance at an apartment at 307 South Main about 9 p.m. and made contact with 41-year old Matthew Patterson in front of the residence. An arrest citation says Patterson told officers he and a female had pepper-sprayed each other.
Further investigation revealed Patterson had allegedly locked the front door and prevented her from leaving. It was then a physical altercation began between the two and Patterson pepper-sprayed the victim, according to the report.
