Hoppers finally get to play but lose at Dubois County

After three off days, the Hoptown Hoppers were back in action Saturday night on the road and lost at Dubois County 8-5.The Hoppers scored three times in the first inning, with the Bombers coming back with a run in the bottom of the second inning, then scoring four times in the bottom of the fourth to take the lead 5-3.

The Bombers would add three runs in the home 7th inning with the Hoppers scoring twice in the top of the 8th inning. Santrel Farmer had two of the Hoppers five hits, with Lane Diuguid suffering the pitching loss, going four innings, allowing six hits, five runs-three earned, with five strikeouts and two walks.

The Hoppers are now 10-5 on the season and host Fulton in a doubleheader Sunday afternoon beginning at 4 at Hopkinsville High’s Tiger Field.
