Hopkinsville’s Easton McGee faced one batter in the top of the 8th inning at the Midwest League All Star game in South Bend, IN last night. However, McGee and his East Division All Stars won the game in a unique way. The game ended in a 3-3 tie with a sudden death home run derby determining the winner. For the second straight night, Hot Rod Chris Betts won the derby with a home run and a second straight bat toss. The Hot Rods are off today before opening the second half of the season at South Bend tomorrow night.
