Man arrested on assault, theft, threat charges

A Hopkinsville man was arrested on theft, assault and terroristic threatening charges Monday morning.

Officers responded to a disturbance at 402 Hancock Street and were told that 23-year old Jalen Brown had slapped his girlfriend, grabbed her sister by the chin and shoved her and that he had threatened to shoot and kill his own brother.

Brown was located in his vehicle on South Virginia Street and a pat down revealed cash in his pocket that he’d allegedly stolen from one of the women.

Brown was arrested and charged with two counts of fourth-degree assault, third-degree terroristic threatening and felony theft by unlawful taking.
