A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has established a westbound work zone lane restriction along Interstate 24 in Christian County near the Kentucky-Tennessee State Line.
According to a traffic update, westbound traffic on I-24 is restricted to one lane from the 91 mile marker to about the 92 mile marker near the westbound Kentucky Welcome Center to allow concrete pavement repairs. This work zone will move along I-24 to near the Pennyrile Parkway Exit 84 Interchange over the next week. There will also be a westbound work zone near the 72 mile marker.
All traffic will move to the left-hand or passing lane in this work zone.
Motorists should use appropriate caution where equipment, flaggers, and construction personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
