Local woman hurt in crash at 41A and Eagle Way

A two-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon at Fort Campbell Boulevard and Eagle Way Bypass injured a local woman.

It happened just before 4 p.m., according to the report from Hopkinsville Police Officer Shawn Bean, which says 52-year old Phyllis Shelley of Hokpinsville was westbound on the Bypass and was slowing with traffic as she approached a yellow light at Fort Campbell Boulevard.

She was rear-ended by a car operated by 29-year old Eric West of Hopkinsville, who didn’t see traffic slowing in front of him until it was too late.

Shelley was taken by private vehicle to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for evaluation and West was not hurt.
