…LAKE WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM THIS MORNING TO 7 PM
CDT THIS EVENING…
The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a Lake Wind
Advisory, which is in effect from 9 AM this morning to 7 PM CDT
this evening.
* TIMING… Peak winds will be from late morning to mid afternoon.
* WINDS… Sustained south winds around 15 mph will occasionally
gust close to 25 mph at times.
* IMPACTS… Boaters will encounter choppy waters due to higher
waves, especially along north to south oriented fetches like
Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…
A Lake Wind Advisory indicates that winds will cause rough chop
on area lakes. Small boats will be especially prone to capsizing.
