Hoppers rally to defeat Owensboro, win streak improves to four

The Hoptown Hoppers trailed Owensboro 6-1 after four innings but rallied to defeat the River Dawgs 8-7 at Independence Bank Park in Owensboro last night. The Hoppers scored four times in the 6th inning and three times in the 8th inning to get their fourth straight win.

New Hopper Santrel Farmer and Seth Bennett each had two hits and Chandler Kendall pitched four innings of one run, two hit ball to get the pitching win in relief of Will Nash, with Brennan Crooms getting the save.

The Hoppers are back home to host Muhlenberg County on Edgewood Baptist Church Night tonight at Hopkinsville High’s Tiger Field at 7:05, with pregame at 6:45 on News Radio 95.3 FM/1230 AM WHOP and online at whopam.com.
