Official local historian William Turner is recovering in a Nashville hospital after suffering a mild stroke Monday.
The 78-year old Turner was a founding board member of the current incarnation of the Hoptown Hoppers and the team issued a statement Tuesday saying he is doing well, but is likely to remain in St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville for several days for observation.
There will be a card to sign for Turner at Wednesday night’s Hoppers game.
