Officials have identified the man killed in a fiery single-vehicle accident Monday morning in northern Todd County.
Todd County Coroner Timothy Wells identified the victim as 41-year old Michael Wright of Clifty.
Kentucky State Police say Wright had been southbound on KY 181 about a mile north of Highland Lick Road when he traveled off the right side of the road, traveled down an embankment and struck a tree.
The car caught fire and Wright was pronounced dead at the scene.
Wright was a Christian County Weather Spotter.
The Todd County Sheriff’s Department, Elkton Police, Todd County Rescue Squad, coroner’s office, chaplain’s service, emergency management and firefighters from Clifty, Sharon Grove, Allegre and Elkton responded to the crash.
