A woman was stabbed Saturday afternoon in Trigg County after a verbal altercation turned physical.
That’s according to Trigg County Sheriff Jason Barnes, who tells WHOP News that an argument began between a 48-year old female and 43-year old Rico Cavanaugh at a location on Charleston Drive and things escalated between the married couple. The female victim was stabbed multiple times and taken to Trigg County Hospital, where she is in stable condition.
Cavanaugh was taken into custody and charged with first-degree assault.
