The Todd County School District is recognizing and celebrating Todd County Middle School Band Director Heather Dipasquale for being a Grammy Educator Award Quarterfinalist.
According to a news release, Dipasquale, Todd County Middle School Band Director and Assistant High School Band Director, was recently selected as a quarterfinalist for the prestigious Music Educator Award presented by the Recording Academy and the Grammy Museum for a second year in a row.
The annual Music Educator Award was established to recognize current educators, from kindergarten through college, who have made a significant and lasting contribution to the field of music education and who demonstrate a commitment to the broader cause of maintaining music education in the schools.
Out of 3,300 educators nationwide, Dipasquale is now one of the remaining 189 music teachers left in the competition.
