Travis Hamby has resigned as Superintendent of Trigg County Schools and has accepted the position of Superintendent of Allen County Schools.
Hamby goes to Allen County Schools after serving in Trigg County since 2007 as the Assistant Superintendent of Operations and Personnel and has served two terms as superintendent, according to a report from the Cadiz Record. Hamby presented his resignation to the Trigg County Board of Education recently and says in a tweet that he is excited to begin working with the staff and students at Allen County Schools.
The Trigg County Board of Education will begin the search process for the next superintendent within the coming weeks and Hamby will begin in Allen County on July 1st.
