Aaron McNeil House is having their biggest commodity distribution ever this Saturday at the Boys and Girls Club on Walnut Street and those in need are encouraged to attend.
Organizer Tamara Watts appeared on WHOP recently and says they’re expecting more people and more food than they’ve ever had before. She says they intend to serve 500 people, which is why they have moved the distribution to the Boys and Girls Club to better accommodate everyone.
It will start at 9 a.m. Saturday morning and people are asked to sign-up in advance so they have a good idea of the amount of food to supply. She says the only requirement to sign-up is to bring your I.D. or some kind of proof that you live in Christian County.
Items will be given out on a first come, first serve basis. Watts says they will provide people with all different kinds of food, including dried goods, pasta, canned food and a variety of meats.
