Hoppers lose third straight at Paducah

The Hoptown Hoppers dropped their third straight game, falling to the West leading Paducah Chiefs 12-5 last night at Brooks Stadium.

Paducah cruised to a 7-1 lead after two innings and never looked back. Brennan Crooms went 3-3 with a double and a triple, Hunter Evans went 2-4 which included a triple and newly added Wyatt Stevenson, who joined the team Tuesday, went 2-3 at the plate in defeat.

Starter Hunter Crosby went three innings in taking the pitching loss for the Hoppers, now 1-3 on the season while Paducah remains undefeated at 4-0.

The teams play again this evening as the Hoppers start a four game home stand at Tiger Field at Hopkinsville High on Southern States night. First pitch at 7:05, with pregame at 6:45 on News Radio 95.3 FM/1230 AM WHOP and whopam.com.
