Public library partners with local YMCA offer patrons class passes

Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library is partnering with the Hopkinsville-Christian County Family YMCA that will allow library patrons to check out a onetime pass for any class that the YMCA offers.

According to a news release, there will be a limited number of passes available each month to library patrons in good standing that can be used one time in a 12-month rolling period for classes offered at the YMCA. The passes are good for one visit to any of the 32 group exercise classes that focus on cardio, strength and overall fitness training.

YMCA Executive Director Sheryl Ellis says, “We at the Y are excited about our partnership with the Hopkinsville Christian County Public Library. We know this program will be an added benefit for library members and allow them the opportunity to try the YMCA.”

Library Director Deanna Sova says, “HCCPL and the YMCA share many of the same patrons.  By creating this partnership, we both hope to reach a broader consumer base that may not be aware of what the other organization may offer.”

Partnering with other organizations in Christian County is the library’s on-going outreach effort to create opportunities for everyone in the community.
