A teen was flown to an Evansville hospital following a two-vehicle collision in Hopkins County Sunday and five others were also injured.
According to a news release from the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded to the intersection of Hubert Reid Road and Sandcut Road for reports of a collision. Investigation determined that a vehicle driven by 29-year old Natasha Robards of Madisonville was traveling east on Hubert Reid when she entered the intersection.
At the same moment, a vehicle operated by a 16-year old juvenile was traveling south on Sandcut Road and reportedly failed to stop at a stop sign. The two vehicles collided in the intersection.
Robards and her passenger, 34-year old Heather Clark, were taken to Baptist Health Hospital for treatment. The juvenile driver and two other juvenile passengers were also taken to Baptist Health, but a fourth juvenile passenger was flown to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville for treatment of injuries.
The names of the juveniles have not been released.
