Motorcyclist injured in I-69 crash in Hopkins Co.

An Indiana man was injured in a wreck that involved two motorcycles Sunday in Hopkins County on Interstate 69.

According to a news release from the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Department, 43-year old Timothy Hanner of Indiana was operating a motorcycle north on I-69 alongside another motorcycle driven by 58-year old Michael Richards of Indiana.

The front tire of Hanner’s motorcycle reportedly hit the back tire of Richards’, causing Hanner to lose control of the vehicle and collide with the pavement. Richards was able to maintain control of his motorcycle.

Hanner was transported to Baptist Health Hospital for treatment.
