Suspects in carjacking, pursuit in court

Three of the four suspects charged in connection with incidents that led to the shooting of Hopkinsville Police Officer Jeremy Davidson on February 19th appeared Wednesday morning in Christian Circuit Court.

September Neblett and Autumn Neblett are charged locally with complicity to robbery and receiving stolen property and Anthony Johnson with fleeing or evading police and receiving stolen property.

Those charges are connected to the alleged carjacking at Walmart that led to two pursuits. Officer Davidson was shot in the arm and head at the end of one of those pursuits on North Drive near Sanderson Drive and was treated and released from Skyline Medical Center.

Johnson and the alleged shooter, Keith Kuzyk, are also federally indicted on gun and carjacking charges.

Commonwealth’s Attorney Rick Boling called the cases convoluted and says he needs some more time to determine what evidence is pertinent to the local cases.

Judge John Atkins set the next court date for July 17th.
