A 78-year old Butler County man who was reported missing has been found alive Wednesday in Logan County after last being seen on Saturday.
According to a news release, 78-year old Bobby Chaney was last seen Saturday at the Amish auction in the Lewisburg area and it is believed that while attempting to go home he became lost. A Golden Alert was issued and the Logan County Sheriff’s Department, Logan County Search and Rescue, Lewisburg Rural Fire Department, Russellville Fire Department and Logan County Burden Bearers conducted a search of a wooded area nearby.
The search was called off Tuesday night and resumed Wednesday morning, when searchers heard someone yelling for help. They located Chaney and with the help of a firefighter cutting a path with a chainsaw, they were able to remove Chaney from the area.
Chaney was taken to a local hospital where he was listed in the stable condition.
