Hopkinsville High School graduates class of 2019

Hopkinsville High School proudly graduated the class of 2019 Friday night at the Stadium of Champions, sending 257 graduates into the rest of their lives.

The graduates accepted their diplomas to the shouts, cheers and applause of their families, which packed the stadium. Hopkinsville Middle School Principal Wendy Duvall told them to always remember where they came from and the lessons they learned at HHS.

The commencement speaker was Specialist Melissa Black, who congratulated the students, saying that she knows they will move forward in life to be successful in the paths they choose.

There were two valedictorians this year for Hopkinsville High—Riley Grace Fort and Lexy Ann Oatts. Ethan Bailey was this year’s salutatorian and the other students in the Top Ten Academic Honors were Aaron Crosby, Sydni Henagan, Hayden Woosley, Preston Jones, Callie Butler, Skylar Ray, Joshua Bush and Hudson Taylor.

The class of 2019 took a moment to recognize those who serve in the Armed Forces, including several of their classmates, who have already signed on to serve after graduation.
