University Heights Academy graduates 29 seniors

University Heights Academy celebrated the accomplishments of the class of 2019, as 29 students graduated Thursday evening.

There were three valedictorians in this class, along with Salutatorian Kendall Doer, who praised the school for teaching them to be the best they could be and having the best teachers possible to do it. Valedictorian Anastatia Kunnman says she knows that her class will go on to achieve great things.

Valedictorian Andrew McGowan explained how unique and talented his UHA family is.

Valedictorian Victoria Sisk says that although the year was full of ‘lasts’, she’s looking forward to all the ‘firsts’ this change will bring.

Altogether, the graduating class of 2019 earned just over $1 million in scholarships. The recipient of the Norman J. Wiedmer Award was educator Tasha Burnam and Sabrina Hall won the D. A. R. Citizenship Award.  McGowan took home both the Head of School Award and the Best All-Around Award, along with Victoria Sisk, who was also Best All-Around.
