University of Kentucky athletics director Mitch Barnhart received the Athletic Director of the Year Award presented by Sports Business Journal last night at a ceremony held in New York City:
Barnhart was selected from among five finalists at the 12th annual Sports Business Awards. A finalist for the award for the second time, Barnhart is in his 17th year as UK’s athletics director.
