There shouldn’t be any problems with rain at the Christian County and Hopkinsville High School graduations Friday afternoon and evening, but there will be near record-high temperatures.
Christian County High School goes first at 5 p.m. at the Stadium of Champions and Principal Chris Bentzel says they’ll be sure to help keep the graduates and staff hydrated.
The National Weather Service is predicting sunny skies and a high of about 90 degrees and Bentzel says being able to have graduation at the stadium is ideal for both high schools and for the community as a whole.
The ceremonies will be moved to the school gymnasiums if it were to rain.
The temperature will have cooled some by the time Hopkinsville High School has its graduation at 8:30 Friday night.
Officers from the Hopkinsville Police Department will be at and around the Stadium of Champions assisting with traffic flow before and after the graduations.
