A man was killed in a house fire late Tuesday night in Hopkins County.
It happened just before midnight at 11265 Nebo Road in Nebo and Kentucky State Police say it wasn’t initially known if the residence was occupied. Further investigation determined the owner of the home, 66-year old William Phillips, was inside and he was pronounced dead at the scene by the Hopkins County coroner.
KSP arson investigator Scott Steward is investigating the blaze.
Nebo firefighters were assisted by several other departments in the area.
