Habitat for Humanity’s open house for its first new construction in seven years is Friday afternoon.
It will be from 2 until 4 p.m. Friday at 499 Elm Street and local Habitat Director Jacob Holland says it’s good to have the program working again after a hiatus.
The Hopkinsville Community College Construction and Technology department partnered with Habitat to build the home and Holland says it’s a win-win because those students gain experience and a local family in need gets a home.
A family has already been selected for the home and will be moved in by late May or early June.
