In the opening game, Christian County blanked Fort Campbell 6-0. The Colonels got two runs in the second thanks to a pair of singles and a three base error. Christian County would score two runs in the fourth behind a solo home run from Jase Polley and a sacrifice fly from winning pitcher Eric Silvy. The Colonels would then score twice more in the sixth. Lane Diuguid went 3-3 at the plate with Jase Polley going 2-3. Fort Campbell’s lone hit came from Dylan Johnson. Christian County improved to 15-14 while Fort Campbell finished 4-16.
In the nightcap, Hopkinsville downed University Heights 6-1. The Tigers led 2-1 after the first inning, then added a single run in the fifth and three scores in the sixth inning thanks to a two run double from Blake Balthrop. The Tigers had six hits while holding the Blazers to four. Preston Chaudoin pitched a complete game, striking out 13 in getting the win. Drew McGowan pitched five innings, striking out nine in taking the loss. Hopkinsville is now 18-12 while University Heights finishes 17-13.
