Monday is Memorial Day, which means the Veterans of Foreign War Post 1913 will be hosting its annual Memorial Day Services.
The first service will be at Riverside Cemetery on Metcalfe Lane in Hopkinsville starting at 9 a.m. and the second will take place at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West at 11 a.m. The keynote speaker this year will be retired Colonel Richard Cooper.
The public is invited and welcomed with attend the services, honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice while defending the country. Lunch will be served at the VFW Post 1913 on VFW Drive behind Holiday Inn following the final service.
