A Hopkinsville man was arrested Sunday night for allegedly stealing mail.
Hopkinsville Police Officer Michael Felts was called to a disturbance at the Village Square Apartments on South Main Street and an alleged victim said 51-year old John Hopkins of Hopkinsville had taken an envelope containing his debit card out of his mailbox.
Hopkins allegedly admitted he had possessed the victim’s debit card without his approval and provided the paper it had been attached to, but said he no longer knew the whereabouts of the card.
Hopkins was arrested and charged with possession of stolen mail.
