JSMC announces Henry Bell Scholarship winners

Jennie Stuart Health has announced the winners of the 2019 Henry R. Bell, MD Scholarships Fund Awards.

The scholarships are awarded each year to high school students pursuing a career in the healthcare field who demonstrate strong motivation to complete his or her education, according to a news release.

The winners are; Lexi Wright from Trigg County, Dakota Garner and Abigail Mason from Christian County, and Hannah Wade from Todd County. Each student earned a $2,000 scholarship to help them pursue careers in healthcare.

Lexi is the daughter of Josh and Angie Taylor of Cadiz, she currently works at Shady Lawn Nursing Home and plans to attend the University of Louisville. Dakota is the daughter of Nicole Harold of Hopkinsville and currently works at the E.C. Green Cancer Center and will be attending the University of Louisville. Abigail is the daughter of Dan and Lucia Mason, and will attend Hopkinsville Community College. Hannah is the daughter of Jerry and Stephanie Driskill, and the late Shannon Wade of Elkton, she plans to attend Hopkinsville Community College.

All of this year’s winners have an interest in a nursing major and in becoming a registered nurse.
