An Illinois woman was severely injured in a single-vehicle accident on I-24 Friday afternoon in Christian County.
Thirty-five-year-old Maurice Wolf of East Saint Louis, Illinois had been headed east near the 78 mile-marker when his rear driver’s side tire blew, according to Christian County Sheriff’s Sgt. Adam Vanderkolk.
The vehicle began to fish-tail and went off the right side of the roadway, flipping twice before coming to rest against a fence line.
Wolf’s wife was in and out of consciousness and had to be flown by Air Evac to a Nashville hospital with serious injuries.
Wolf had minor injuries, but refused a trip to the hospital.
