Fourth ranked Christian County broke a 1-1 tie scoring twice in the bottom of the sixth to defeat Marshall County 3-1. Tyler Shemwell and Reni Shemwell each hit a home run as Hannah Sumner got a complete game pitching win. Christian County improved to 25-6 and plays at Lafayette in Lexington today.
Russellville downed Hopkinsville 15-4 in six innings. Nadia Clayton went 2-2 with a home run in defeat for the Lady Tigers with Marley Hancock taking the pitching loss. Hopkinsville is 11-22 and meets University Heights in the 8th district tournament Monday night at UHA.
