Multiple police agencies from Christian and Montgomery counties will be participating in a Hands Across the Border campaign Friday night.
Hopkinsville Police, Clarksville Police and state law enforcement from Kentucky and Tennessee will be setting up a safety checkpoint near the state line on Fort Campbell Boulevard.
A news release says the effort is to encourage motorists to buckle up, slow down and to not drink and drive.
Officers will also be conducting high visibility DUI patrols and anyone caught driving impaired will go to jail.
