Two people were arrested for methamphetamine trafficking following a traffic stop Tuesday night on East Ninth Street.
Hopkinsville Police Officer Tyler Hancock stopped a car driven by 22-year old Emily McKinnis of Hopkinsville turn signal violation, according to an arrest citation, which says she gave consent to search her vehicle.
Police say they found a large quantity of methamphetamine under the spare tire in the trunk, in addition to multiple syringes.
McKinnis and her passenger, 23-year old Joseph Tyree of Hopkinsville, were arrested for trafficking in meth and possession of drug paraphernalia.
