The local Fraternal Order of Police will host its annual police officer memorial service Thursday afternoon.
It will be at 4:30 p.m. at Police Memorial Park on West First Street behind the police department.
Quentin Stone of the FOP says it’s part of National Police Week.
Several entities and individuals will participate in the ceremony, including Trigg County Sheriff Jason Barnes, who will sing.
There will be speakers from Hopkinsville and Fort Campbell police and Sheriff Tyler DeArmond will be the keynote speaker.
The names of the 10 local police officers killed in the line of duty will be read during a roll call and the flag will be lowered to half-staff.
Stone says they’re hoping for a big crowd and attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair.
The service will be moved to the rotunda of the Christian County Justice Center in the case of rain.
