Not only is Kentucky hosting a regional in the first round of the NCAA Softball Tournament, the University of Louisville is headed to the Evanston Regional. The Cardinals will face Southern Illinois at noon Hopkinsville time Friday in its opening game of the double elimination tournament. The other first round game Friday has host Northwestern taking on Detroit Mercy. Former Christian County standout Griffin Joiner is an assistant coach at U of L.
