One man was killed and another was severely injured in a single-vehicle accident Sunday afternoon in Logan County.
The Logan County Sheriff’s Department says 53-year old Mark McLean of Auburn had been northbound on Cave Springs Road when he lost control of his vehicle for unknown reasons. His car left the right side of the road and struck a large tree and several smaller trees before coming to rest down a steep embankment.
McLean was pronounced dead at the scene by the Logan County Coroner’s Office. His passenger, 19-year old Ethan Hunter of Adairville, had to be extricated and was flown by Air Evac to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville in critical condition.
