The Hopkinsville Police Department is asking for kids ages 11 to 15 to participate in the upcoming Junior Police Academy in June.
According to HPD, the academy will last the week of June 10th and will highlight the activities of the department and gives kids a chance to see what the department does on a daily basis. Participants will meet every day, during this week, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at police department located at 101 North Main Street. The week ends with a banquet and graduation ceremony for all kids that attend the academy.
The academy will have a cap of 25 students with the deadline for applications to be turned in by May 24. Applications can be picked up and turned in at the police department. The event is free to attend.
