Two arrested for warrants, meth possession

Hopkinsville police arrested two people on outstanding warrants and for methamphetamine possession Sunday night.

An officer pulled over a pickup driven by 58-year old Thomas Mason of Hopkinsville at Elm Street and Means Avenue just before 11 p.m. after he failed to stop at a stop sign, according to an arrest citation.

Police determined Mason and his passenger, 45-year old Patricia Mann of Hopkinsville, were wanted on warrants and took both into custody.

Methamphetamine was allegedly found in Mason’s folded social security card and in Mann’s purse, in addition to a needle in the truck.

Mann was served with a warrant for contempt of court, Mason was served for probation violation and both suspects were charged with possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
