Five injured in crash at Ninth and Campbell Street

Five people were injured in a wreck at East Ninth and Campbell Street Saturday afternoon.

It happened a little before 2:30 p.m. and the report from Hopkinsville Police says 49-year old Tawanna Phillips of Hopkinsville was northbound on South Campbell when she ran a red light and collided with a westbound vehicle on East Ninth driven by 59-year old Franchester Jordan of Hopkinsville.

The impact sent Jordan’s automobile into a stopped car on South Campbell driven by 20-year old Dekorian Daniel of Hopkinsville.

Phillips, Daniel and Daniel’s passengers—18-year old Robert Torian and 19-year old Javea Richardson—were all taken by EMS to Jennie Stuart Medical Center. Jordan went to the hospital by private vehicle.

Hopkinsville Police cited Daniel into court for not having proof of insurance.
